Kingdom: Fungi

This category contains all species included within the kingdom Fungi. They specialize in eating the remnants of dead organisms and sometimes are predators to organisms that are alive. Despite them usually staying in one place like a plant, they are more closely related to animals than they are to plants, as they do not produce their own food through photosynthesis. Mushrooms and lichens are well-represented members of the fungi genera.
