Velociraptor antirrhopus (literally "swift thief with counterbalancing tail") is a fictional Deinonychus-like large scaly pronate-handed species of Velociraptor the size of a polar bear that originated from the Jurassic Park universe.
Biology[]
As the most inaccurate Velociraptor species, V. antirrhopus has a more robust body, being six feet tall and being more than 11 feet in length, sometimes 13 feet long, and is entirely scaly with no feathers, although males of the Isla Sorna subspecies has quill-like integument on their heads. Unlike any known accurate and real theropods, including Velociraptor mongoliensis, it has the ability to pronate its wrists (facing downwards), allowing it to better manipulate objects (including opening doors, etc). Compared with other Velociraptor species, which are between an intelligence of a rabbit/opossum or a fox, this species is comparable in intelligence to cetaceans and primates (including humans).
